What is hypnosis

Shows and bad movies showing manipulative hypnosis have given this field a bad reputation.

Unfortunately it is much easier to be interested in such horror stories than to listen to serious (and less spectacular) scientific research and the true effects of reliable hypnosis.

Therefore, we should ask: What is hypnosis? Imagine the moment just before you fall asleep and suddenly you “wake up” again, the body is already sleeping, but the mind is wide awake and specially aware. In those moments you sometimes have the most creative ideas, you think of new questions, solve problems or you are suddenly aware of certain relationships. That is hypnosis!
